Your Academic Advisor, Kema Sweatt, is committed to the academic and professional development of Master's students enrolled with the College for Financial Planning by delivering premier student-centered educational support. It is the mission of your Academic Advisor to empower you to take a proactive role in the advising process and to provide optimal service and purposeful engagement to facilitate a positive and successful student experience in our Graduate programs.
A New York native, I joined CFFP in January 2015 and have been the Academic Advisor for the Graduate Degree program since 2017. I earned my MBA in 2018 and consider myself a lifelong learner. I am dedicated to supporting students in their academic journeys and guiding them toward success.
What I enjoy most about advising is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students, understand their unique needs, and provide guidance that fosters their growth. Creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel empowered to take control of their education and thrive is my top priority and goal in each interaction with our students.
Academic advising sessions are exclusively for master’s students and recipients of the Diversity Scholarship.
